Hi! I'm Elkan, currently studying as a medical student in Singapore. My first experience with tutoring came with teaching my siblings how to do math questions, and as the oldest of 4, you could say I've been tutoring since I was in primary school. As someone who personally struggled with upper sec chemistry in secondary 3, I understand and relate to the struggles of my students. Eventually I understood that my problem wasn't the amount of effort I was putting in, but in the way I was studying and reviewing content. I believe that understanding and applying concepts is a skill that anyone can learn with the right help and effort. I strive to teach my students to not just rewrite notes, but understand the concepts and apply principles when learning, helping them get more out of the effort they put in.
